Givemalickin March 24, 1980 - July 5, 2000 In Memory Of (excerpt from Northern Horse Review) On July 5, 2000, Givemalickin was humanely put to rest due to colic. Those who knew him were saddened to learn of the sudden passing of another superior stallion and friend. "Dash" had earned the respect and admiration of many through his wonderful character and siring ability. Givemalickin became the sire of over 375 foals of which there are 13 AAA, 1 TAAA, earnings $82,547, as well as sire of the 1994 National Finals Rodeo bulldogging horse, 1994 Spruce Meadows Sale high selling Quarter Horse, Dressage Nationals Reserve Champion Western Division, 1992 Provincial and High Point Competitive Trail Riding Champion, 1992 Grande Prairie Super Horse as well as numerous team roping, barrel and using horses. In 1999 his son, Cash In Your Bux, became Montana's leading barrel horse sire. The most frequently mentioned attribute that Givemalickin has been noted for was his ability to sire horses with good minds. Purchased sight unseen by Doug and Carol Schaffer near Bassano, Alberta, Dash became the stallion that helped get Sandy Ridge Stallion Station on the map. His first year at stud, he serviced 68 mares. The following year, half interest was sold to Harv and Bea Seely of Duchess, Alberta, a partnership that remained intact until 1998. Givemalickin was a gentleman until the end and will be greatly missed, though his legacy will live on in his progeny and the hearts of those who knew him. The Schaffer's buried the stallion on a hill overlooking Sandy Ridge.

| The matriarch of the
ranch is forever roaming in greener pastures. Her maternal traits were
outstanding, she even raised orphans along with her own foal. To her
daughters she has passed on her strong maternal traits, quiet disposition
and beautiful big eye.
